Frequently Asked Questions

At Meridian we enjoy sharing our experience with our customers. Here are some frequently asked questions about concrete project that we hope you'll find helpful. Please click on the questions to see the answers.

  • Call us at 775-852-6550 or complete the “Contact Us” section of this web site. We will set up an appointment to go through your project with you and give you ideas and options.
  • For example, if you wanted to pour a new patio in your backyard, you could have a choice of finishes such as broom finish, swirl and shine, washed aggregate, color/stamp, etc. If you wanted to pour a new RV pad on the side of your house, we would discuss grading and drainage with you in addition to the scope of the concrete work.
  • We are committed to providing you an accurate and complete proposal, so we do like to visit the site and go over the project with you. That assures both of us that as many of the variables as possible are discussed.
  • Concrete takes approximately 28 days to fully cure. It gains strength as it cures, so it is optimum to wait if at all possible. At a minimum though, you should wait 10 days. Heavy vehicles such as moving vans, dump trucks, etc. should not drive on the concrete until after the full 28 days.
  • Your concrete should be cleaned and sealed annually keep it beautiful and in good condition. Please see our blog on “Winter Concrete Care”. If you have any other questions, please give us a call. We would be happy to help you.
  • Yes, we have the crews and equipment to tear out and replace driveways, walkways, steps, etc. Just give us a call. We’d be happy to look at any project you are considering.
  • Absolutely! In order to get a contractor’s license in Nevada, you must be qualified by the Nevada State Contractors Board with regards to experience, knowledge of laws and building codes, and for financial stability.
